One star

I read Allison Pearson’s book recently, when I was in the thick of my own work-life balance crisis. I was exhausted from erratic hours, feeling guilty that I wasn’t with my kids when I was working, feeling guilty that I wasn’t working when I was with my kids, and dehydrated in an effort to cut back on bathroom breaks. I consumed the book in a frenzy, eager to get to the end to find out what the answer was. Heroine Kate Reddy had it all: kids, career, romance. So how did she do it?

Audio tapes say that Jackie got even

According to the Mail Online, Caroline Kennedy has agreed to release a series of recordings in which her mother was interviewed by Art Schlesinger Jr. They were taped just after JFK’s assassination, and Jackie had requested they not be released until 50 years after her death.

Why the hurry? For the record, Jackie died 17 years ago. Blame Katie Holmes — these are the tapes that Caroline reportedly agreed to release to ABC in return for them canceling the miniseries “The Kennedys.” ReelzChannel snapped that one up, and it was a good move. Greg Kinnear was near-brilliant as JFK.
